Argyll - By Air
You are in: Argyll :: Travel :: By Air
Glasgow Airport is 25 minutes from the southern edge of Argyll at Loch Lomond in Scotland’s first National Park.

Inverness Airport in under two hours from the northern edge of Argyll at the Corran Ferry over Loch Linnhe to Ardnamurchan.

Both airports are on routes served by low cost airlines.

Within Argyll there are local airports served from Glasgow Airport:
  • Campbeltown in Kintyre, shared with the RAF at Machrihanish
  • The Isle of Islay (where Prince Charles famously ignored landing advice and pranged an aircraft of the Queen’s Flight)
  • The Isle of Tiree, known to anyone who’s ever listened to the shipping forecast.
  • And for flyers there are airstrips at Connell (for Oban); and on the Isles of Mull and Gigha.
